Valentine's Love Cabaret & Variety Show
Vagabond Menifee is seeking variety acts - ranging from Singing, Dancing, Acting, and Comedy - for our upcoming variety show.
The theme is LOVE!

16-32 bars of a musical theater song or contemporary song (please bring recorded accompaniment) No acapella singing.

**This event is a one-night fundraiser, however, as part of our mission we may be adding a performance on the Sunday to perform at a local senior facility*
***Most rehearsal time will be solo and on your own time and pace, with occasional check-in with the director.

The Women of Lockerbie
Vagabond Menifee is looking for talented performers to audition for its first play of 2025. This inspiring drama - chosen for Women's History Month - showcases the resilience, strength, and tenacity of these remarkable women in a delightful framework.
Auditions: February 3rd and 4th, 2025 7pm-9pm
Show Dates: March 21, 22, 23 & March 28, 29, 30
Rehearsal will take place: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings starting the 17th of February. Due to the nature of this show, most rehearsals will require all to be called.
Those auditioning are encouraged to stay the whole time and to wear clothes that you can move in and are comfortable in.
Auditions will include: cold readings and a movement exercise; please prepare a 1 minute contemporary dramatic monologue.

The Women of Lockerbie, by Deborah Brevoort
A mother from New Jersey roams the hills of Lockerbie, Scotland, looking for her son's remains that were lost in the crash of Pan Am Flight 103. She meets the women of Lockerbie, who are fighting the US government to obtain the clothing of the victims found in the plane's wreckage. the women, determined to convert an act of hatred into an act of love, want to wash the clothes of the dead and return them to the victim's families.
Written in the structure of a Greek Tragedy, it is a poetic drama about the triumph of love over hate.
Roles:
Madeline Livingston - a suburban housewife from New Jersey.
Bill Livingston - her husband.
Olive Allison - an older woman, from Lockerbie. Leader of the Laundry Project.
Hattie - a cleaning woman, from Lockerbie
George Jones - the American government representative in charge of the warehouse storing the remains from the Pan Am 103 crash.
Women 1 & 2* - Women a part of the the Laundry Project.
*More women are encouraged by the writer to be cast.
